Beach with our Friends

Back in March, March 12 I think. We went to Emerald Bay with some friends of ours who were in town for a wedding the night before (which we also attended)
We were the first ones to show up at the beach and enjoyed it all to ourselves. I guess besides the people who were playing volleyball, but they don't count.

Emerald Bay was gorgeous. The community has its own entrance to a beautiful and quiet beach.

You can't exactly tell but Westin was furious I was holding him, all he wanted was his Dad.

We bringa  ball everywhere we go. I'm pretty sure I always tell you this but when I say its time to go Westin will grab a ball and head for the door.

The perfect playground is one on the beach. Seriously, you can't beat that weather and if you get hot go jump in the ocean!

I think Matt was showing Westin how to do the splits, usually Westin does whatever his ad does but he wasn't convinced it was a good idea.

Westin couldn't have been happier with the ball and the slide.

Westin has gone through a lot of phases with slides. Loves them, hates them, and he is back to loving them again. He might have hated them at one time because I pushed him down a really tall tunnel one that he didn't want to do. Oops!

When the rest of the group showed up they quickly picked up how to get Westin to like you. Give him a ball and he will be your bestie.

Matt always likes to show off Westin's skills. He really is fantastic at making baskets. He has other tricks that he will only do for us. This particular time was to show how great his aim is. Westin would shoot a rock into the green bucket and make it. Matt would move it farther back and he would still make it. The kid has crazy aim.

The whole group, besides Tom and his fiance.

This other cute little boy is Zac. These boys are a few days apart and they weren't really interested in playing with each other. Maybe next time.

There is Matt, and one of his oldest (longest) Friends Jake. (Jake is not the father of Zac) Whenever Matt and Jake get together I see a whole other side to Matt. These two come up with the craziest games.

Later that night some of the group came over, we got some dessert and food I think (I don't remember) Westin stayed up past 10 if I remember correctly playing basketball. He was making some crazy shots. None of the pictures I took turned out so great. Hopefully Rachel got come cute ones.

Days at Home

Days at home happen a lot, Westin enjoys planing inside and out.

I think this picture is hilarious. I must have just caught it at a bad moment.

We always have to  play basketball. It has become a daily routine.

All of these pictures were taken back in March.

Most of my pictures have been really blurry, I think we have fixed the problem.

Park Day

Park seems to be the same every time we go.

We bring a ball or three to share.

Then we play basketball with our friends

Share our ball with our friends

Ask our friends to push us.

Go up the slide and down the stairs, no matter how many times I tell him its wrong he still does it. He'll learn his lesson when someone comes down and hits him.

Back to playing with the ball. (Someone else's ball)

Laugh at our silly friends.

Then we head home, eat lunch and hide behind the couch.

We never forget to peek over the back.

a

Park day is every Tuesday, we usually walk there with other friends. Westin mostly wants to shoot the basketball but he is becoming more interested in running around. He still is one of the younger kids out there and he looks pretty small compared to everyone else.
This particular day Westin dressed like his Grandpa Bair. For some reason after I got him dressed I couldn't help but think of my Dad. The striped shirt, jeans ans tennis shoes just sold it.

Ping Pong

Westin is quite the rock star when it comes to being able to make baskets and throw a ball. His move he pulls out on the ping pong table is awesome. Watch just after someone walks in front of the camera.
This video was taken back in December so he was 16 months old, he is now 20 months.

I wish I had added this picture to the post about Laguna Beach, he was plain old tuckered by the time we got back to the car!

For Valentine's Day I sent this card out to our family. I got a lot of funny comments back,
"What is this a BYU add?"
"I thought you were going to announce you were pregnant!"
"He is so cute!"

The next pictures are the same ones from the card, in color. We really play basketball outside a lot. He has the most fun being out side and playing with a ball.

Disneyland again, in line for the Nemo ride. (not my favorite)

Westin is so great at giving hugs, he will send one anyone's way. My favorite is when he runs up to you with his arms open!

We have to help with Isaiah hugs because they usually end up falling down.

Westin's Grandma RaDean gave him this awesome little table. He mostly eats snacks on it but we love having it.

Westin will only watch Basketball or football. I was trying to cook dinner so I turned some on YouTube for him.

Its perfect for friends and play dates!

Some extra lovely pictures.

Laguna Beach Night Out

For Christmas I got Matta  night out to Laguna Beach. He loves Laguna and hotels so it was the best present ever! We stayed at Pacific Edge (I think) which was right on the water. We loved our view!

Classic foot picture.

We got our snacks and enjoyed watching people and the waves.

The sun setting behind Catalina Island

THe night life. We walked to main street in Laguna and ate at Alessa. The food was delicious but it was really crowded. I hate eating with my back to people, and my back was facing every single person in the room.

THat night we ate more chips and salsa in bed and watched The Dark Knight. It was scary.
The next morning we went for a run and then Matt decided to go for a swim.

It. Was. Cold.

The only way we could have done this was because the Lainharts watched Westin. They said he was a champ and was super easy. (Lets hope they were serious) The joined us for breakfast in a teeny tiny place that was yummy.
We headed to the park on the main beach in Lagnua.

Then Westin found a ball.

A volleyball. Thankfully the nice guys let him play with it or he would have had a fit!

We moved on to the apparently wet dog. I say apparently because I don't remember that detail of it (This was back in January)

After the volleyball and dog we went to a basketball.

Then to a pop tart. Westin doesn't like to go near the water but the little boy behind him (Isaiah) LOVES it. He would run and swim if his momma would let him.

Ashlynn isn't a fan of the water but she loves to dig.

Dave and Isaiah enjoyed hunting for treasures around the walk.

What a cute picture of Westin and his Dad. I bet he was really nervous walking so close to the water. (Westin, not his Dad)
