Disneyland with my Sister

There is always something going on when my sister and her daughter come to town.

We went to Disneyland. Since they got their passes at the beginning of the year we have tried to go as much as they could make it out here.

This trip was really warm, I mean so warm that by lunch time we were all jumping in the spraying water.

After this Westin took a nap. I made sure to get him good and wet so he would stay nice and cool for it, since he has to have his "sheshe" (blanket).

Because it was so warm out we did a lot of the shows, which was nice and kept us from getting to tired (at least me).

I never take Westin to see characters, he is too scared plus has no idea who they are, but its fun for me to see Grace talk to them and give them a hug. I wonder if she thinks they are real...

Grace is tall enough for almost all of the rides, she got to go on everything twice while both Stacy and I took her. I'm not sure who she thinks she was waving at but Stacy was having a good time.

Waiting in line for Toy Story Mania is such a bummer but the ride is worth the wait, even Westin loves it!

Westin always does this silly walk, it cracks everyone up and I think thats why he does it so much.

We went to see the farm animals which ended up being only goats.

Westin loved it and check out how close Grace got to this guys face.

The next day Matt joined us in the afternoon (a much cooler day), he wanted to see the goats with Westin.

This picture looks like it could have ended up in a bad way.

Thunder Mountain, Grace went with both Stacy and I. While they were going I kept telling Westin it was a train and it went chocho, then when I went on it at this part where you see Stacy, I yelled WESTIN! he totally saw me and after we went by Westin said to Stacy, "Mommy, cho cho" How cute is that?

May - Mother's Day & Disneyland

May was quite the eventful month. We started it out going to the beach. Westin loves his Sunglasses he got for Easter and he is really good about keeping his hat on. Which I love. We had a few play-dates at the beach the first week in May and can't wait for many more.

Attempting to get a Mother's Day photo isn't always the easiest thing but Westin sure is cute either way.

Easter.

Westin celebrated Easter with too much Candy. He only got two eggs with skittles in them, we only let him eat half of one (it was breakfast after all) Then at church he was WIRED! He doesn't eat much treats. All the good ones have milk or peanuts in them so when he has something with lots of sugar you can tell.

He got a bat and ball, some cars and sunglasses (which he loves and always keeps on) He wouldn't even look up for the picture.

Church outfit. I got him matching pants to his vest but they were way too big. so was the new shirt. I guess we stay with 18 month clothes for a while.

We also dyed Easter eggs with our friends Char & Tyrone Hatch. Believe it or not, they recently moved into our first place we lived when we first moved to California, and they are from Arizona! They are also Westin's nursery teachers and he loves them. Thank goodness.

Westin really got into the Easter egg dying.

Ragnar Relay

I ran the race on April 15 and it was so much fun. I'm pretty sure everyone had fun. Our team name was Seuss on the Loose so the first run we all wore Cat in the Hat attire.

I felt pretty silly, I had the hat, the whiskers, the bow plus I had to wear a head lamp, reflective vest and a wrist band (which was our baton for the hand offs)
This was pre-race. After this picture I realized I need to get running. I barely got all my gear on before the gun went off.

My whole first leg I ran with some guy, I hope he didn't mind.

Everyone was a Thing number and had a name. Since my family calls me Lady that's what I was then they (my teammates) added the Red Fish, I thought it worked out well.

This was at the first van exchange. Most of the things.

This was at the fourth van exchange. All of the big exchanges were a nightmare with people trying to run in and drive in (and back out). I think it made a lot of people late, which would be a bummer if you were the person waiting for your next runner.

After the races on Coronado Island. We didn't have the greatest team time but we had fun and still got to enjoy some of the few festivities.

This is everyone. My van included all the girls from the top row, Thing 1-6

We got some sweet metals and a car sticker (which I'm in love with and is on my back window proudly)

I would do another one in a heart beat....Maybe next year?

Disneyland with Friends

We love Disneyland, but we love it even more when friends join us!

Our neighbors Nora and June came.

With Charlie.

Kay and Max

and Reese in the bottom corner.
Doesn't Charlie look like my child? We don't really look alike but that cute smile all cuddled up to me!

Waiting in line is more fun with friends. Westin always tries to do whatever the big kids are doing. You better believe he was up on the fence with them.

Later on that week Charlie and his family came over for dinner afterward him and Westin played baseball. Charlie would pitch and Westin would hit it. Then the opposite happened. Westin would pitch and Charlie would hit. Westin got in a crazy mood where he would pitch then laugh and Charlie would swing and miss. (of course he would miss, what 3 year old could hit off a almost 2 year old) Anyway, Charlie would get really frustrated and say, or yell, "It's not funny. He didn't realize Westin was not laughing at him he just loves to throw a ball and gets really excited about it.

Westin with the baseball bat that was actually a bowling pin.

We love our friends and neighbors, we always have a good time!

The Rest of the Time.

Camille gave her homecoming talk in church the Sunday she got back. She did a fabulous job and it was so great to be able to hear it.

Afterward, there was lots of yummy food and plenty of people to talk to. We looked through lots of wedding pictures of the Pobst family friend the Clonts. Their oldest daughter got married a few weeks before we were there.

On Monday Aaron had a baseball game we were able to go to but left in the middle of to head home. We have found that if we driving in the evening to midnight or so the drive is so much easier with Westin. He plays for about two hours then falls asleep.

Last minute pictures with Aunt Camille

Grandma Alice, This is Westin's Great Grandma.

Sometime over the weekend Matt & Grandpa took Westin out on the Canoe. He was not a big fan of it and was out for maybe 5 minutes.

Bair Reunion March 26

We had our Annual Bair Family Reunion. This s for my Dad's side starting with his parents. We had 6 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren (I think) Westin is a great grandchild. There are lots more that couldn't make it. We meet at a park in East Mesa and enjoy a BBQ and the playground.
Westin and Matt couldn't make it. I thought it would be mean to leave his Aunt so short after her getting home. It was her weekend.

Grace loves to be a Mom to her cousins.

All the eating, what is a family get together without the food?

Zach is my cousins son, so my second cousin maybe? He makes me laugh, constantly trying to do everything his Dad does. I hope Westin is like that!

There was some Frisbee throwing but mostly chatting. We had so much fun and hopefully everyone can make it next year.

Aunt Camille Came Home

In March Aunt Camille came home from his mission to Paris. Westin had only seen her when he was a couple weeks old. Luckily he has warmed right up to her.

Their were a lot of flight mishaps for them but the finally arrived to Phoenix late Friday night.

We waited around by security for a while. Westin did a lot of running and chasing.

We held up signs and I was getting very anxious. It's always so exciting to pick someone up at the airport, no matter how long they have been gone.

Westin held the sign for about 15 seconds, he was over it.

I think he was pointing out Grandpa Pobst.

Trying to figure out what my signs say.

We love our Aunt Camille and are so proud of her. She will be heading up to BYU Idaho in the fall so we hope to spend lots of time with her...in California.
