Westin's Birthday Party

We had a joint birthday party for Westin with his friend Molly. At least Molly was supposed to be there. The poor girl woke up sick and couldn't come. We almost had to cancel the day because it was raining that morning but luckily it cleared up just in time for the rides.

We were so lucky to have our friends the Sundbergs there to capture the day. Especially since our memory card with ALL  our pictures was lost. You can see all his work HERE. Seriously guys, thank you!

The Birthday Boy! He loved it, all of it. He wasn't even afraid of the crowd which was really awesome. He especially loved the treats, all "Westin friendly". Starting with Popcorn.

The thank you's or goodie bags were circus animals and a train whistle. I think I have finally gotten rid of all the ones we ended up with.

Cupcakes, there were blue frosted ones just not on this plate apparently.

Cotton Candy, I thought Westin would love this stuff since the last time he tried it he did. He wouldn't come near it this time.

Who can resist fresh popcorn!

Dad, with the camera that took all our pictures that I never saw.

These are some of the kids that are Westins age. There are plenty more but I think these guys were killing some time before the next train.

Aunt Alicia, Uncle Scott, and Logan.

The train is the perfect size for a small child. I think everyone had fun.

It was the perfect party for Westin and his friends. If we would have done something revolving around balls I think it would have turned out much differently. I mean a bunch of 2 year olds with golf clubs doesn't work out that great.

Golfing

Westin is our golfing champion.

These two videos are from back in August, right when Westin turned 2. He has improved so much since then.

Westin has a new Best Friend

Westin's cousin moved just a few doors down back in August. Westin is in love with the constant play mate. They currently fight over everything even if they wouldn't normally be interested in it. They do play with each other sometimes though.

They help each other wake up from naps.

Play at the park.

Take baths together and help with the pesky ear itches.

They are even super heros together. Stacy made this really cute cape for Westin that had a W and a basketball on it. He runs around yelling "SUPER WESTIN"

Logan wanted in on the fun and put a blanket in his shirt.

Sometimes Greyson gets in on the fun.

We play in the front yard running back and forth.

Westin loves hanging out with Logan and always asks for him and I'm pretty sure the same goes for Logan.

Westin turned 2 August 8th 2011

Westin's birthday is August 8th. We celebrated that night with Uncle Scott and Aunt Alicia, Logan and Greyson, and Tyrone and Char.

Again with blowing out his candle, so funny.

Westin got lots of birthday calls. This one was from Grace and Stacy singing to him.

Westin got lots of new toys for his birthday. Notice above is his new baseball bat. He also has on his new boxing gloves since they seem to work so well as batting gloves. He also got a race track with a fun loop at the end.

Logan loved helping with his presents.Luckily Westin didn't mind too much.

Westin also had a joint party with friends at a train park about a month after his birthday.

San Diego August 2012

Just like every year we spend a week in San Diego with the Bair family. This year was a pretty small group. Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Matthew, me and Westin. We missed the Thompsons and the Bairs.

Westin and I headed down on Saturday like usual but it had taken nearly 2 hours to go what should have taken 30 mins. We turned around and headed down later that night. On Sunday we went to church (same ward as always) then home for nap and lunch. The condo we stay at has a few bikes so we enjoyed a Sunday afternoon bike ride.

Monday is the best day. Everyone gets out super early to start the relaxing on the beach.

Westin loved the holes Uncle Bruce would dig.  Westin and all the cousins enjoy jumping in and climbing out and when the tide comes up watching the hole fill with water.

Do you see the hole Westin is looking in? That is a big pvc pipe. Bruce brings them out everyday to try out new ways to put them in and have the water come in.

This is Colton. My cousins Kim's little boy. We were so lucky to be able to spend so much time with them. They live in Colorado and haven't been able to come to San Diego in I don't know how long. He is about 5 or 6 months younger then Westin. They loved playing together.

Sliding into one of many big holes.

With Water at the bottom of it. Perfect water to play in when you are a little bit afraid of the big waves.

Hanging out with Grandma Bair, notice the fruit snacks bag. Westin was bribed with a lot of snacks on this trip. A lot.

I have loved this hat for Westin. He still loves to wear it but the Velcro is coming loose so its harder for him to keep it on properly. He tries though.

Another cousin, Heather. She tried to stay away from the camera but I was able to catch one of her.

This is Cass, he is 2 weeks older then Westin. He is much bigger and stronger then my little guy though.

Matt was able to come halfway through the week. He took the train down and joined us for all the festivities at Belmont Park.

We had to play Phase 10 paddle ball.

Here are the pipes so you can see just how big they really are.

WE also celebrated Westin's second birthday while we were there. The first of many birthday parties.

He even blew his own candle out. It was so cute.

This is his "silly face"

We played cards most nights. Aunt Melanie, Corrina, Kevin, Uncle Bruce, Grandma, myself, Grandpa Bair.

We always love our week on the beach. Hopefully next year more of the family will join us.

Westin will be Westin

Just some things that get us through our days when Westin was about to turn 2 in August.

Westin figured out how to pull the screen up and climb out the door. The screen has since been fixed but he went right for the same spot again and its broken once again.

Westin's favorite snack is popcorn. By far over anything else. We always enjoy a ball in the afternoon to help him wake up from his nap.

I found these chairs at goodwill and there is a matching one in the backyard, which is where this one should be too.

Apparently our orange shorts are a tad big. Westin ran right out of them and thought it was the funniest thing.
