Wicked

Matt and I went to see Wicked in January. It was such a blast. We left really early for the show so we didn't get stuck in any traffic. We ended up having time to stop in at the fabric district and picked up some pretty fabulous finds! We drove around LA for a while just to get a better look at it. We ate a delicious Italian place we randomly ran into. The show was awesome. It was my first time seeing it and Matt's second. I loved every second of it!

What gets us Through Our Days.

Westin and I don't get to the park nearly as much as we should, especially for how nice it is here year round, but when we go we usually have some sort of ball. I'd say 90% of the time it is a golf ball and club.

Here I am at 24 weeks

Westin loves the Costco berry smoothies, "special treat". We usually get one every time we shop there and he can down the whole thing. then it make shim cold so we come home and wrap up in blankets. Another favorite of Westin's is his soy yogurt. He always asks for strawberry. I'm glad they have it and that he likes it because what else do you feed a kid with so many allergies?

Vandusens Join Us For the Day.

Justin, Allison, Emily & Lyla came to visit us January 2. We enjoyed hanging out, attempting to get our toes done, a trip to Slater's 50/50 and a bon fire at the beach. Complete with s'mores and foil dinners. We got in some good naps too.

Lets Go Fly a Kite.

Remember the kite Westin got for Christmas? We took it out for a spin New Years Day. Westin loved it but there wasn't any wind so Matt had to run with it up and down the beach. We also added in a bike ride which ended up being pretty chilly. Westin never wants to get off the bike though.

New Years Eve

We sometimes aren't very good about planning our date nights and New Years Eve was no exception. I was texting the Young Women in our ward that morning (during the bike ride) trying to get someone to watch Westin, Logan & Grayson. We decided on an early dinner and then enjoy some food and friends at home, that way our babysitter could go out with her friends too.
We tried dinner at an Empanada place but it was closed. Major bummer but then we headed out to another favorite place, El Torito Grill. (Much different then El Torito) Dinner was delicious! We headed home to put the boys in bed and to party.

We played a card game then when the new year rang in we headed outside for some sparklers. Trying to write 2012 with the sparklers. For some reason the sparklers weren't working too well so they kept going out before the camera would take.

Everyone had an item of the night. Fondue, sparkling cider, flashlight, sparklers and I'm not sure what Matt is holding.

I think this says Char.

Pretty sure this is where the flashlight came in.

Morning Bike Ride

One major thing we miss about living closer to the beach is being able to hop on our bikes and ride around on the boardwalk. We try to get down there often but since its not an convenient it doesn't happen too often.  One Saturday morning we made it. Westin loves it on the bike and he especially loved watching his buddy Tyrone do some tricks.

Golf & Friends

Enjoying the present from Grandpa Pobst. My boy is easily entertained by golf balls in a bucket.

Every night after bath time Westin gets wrapped up and he is either Mommy's baby or Daddy's and we hold him just like a baby for about 5 seconds until he is off to the next adventure on his to-do list.

One morning we met up with some friends at the mall to ride the carousal.  We met Logan, Grayson, Tyler, Jill and Griffin.  Can you believe Westin used to freak out on the carousal?

Christmas!

All the presents were wrapped, looks like too many of them. Westin had a big gift waiting for him from Santa, a wooden train set. We found a great set for him on Craigslist, or Grandma Pobst did. Christmas Eve was spent with the Bair family. It was a very quiet night but we managed to get some wrestling Mary & Josephs which made everyone laugh so hard they cried.

Santa also brought Westin a big kite, his little helpers were seting it up for him. I'm not even sure he cared much about it once he saw his trains.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Westin loved looking at the Christmas lights on the houses so we took a night to go see them. He got to sit in the front seat with Mom and oh & aw over everything. His favorite was if there was a character in the yard.

One night after dinner I was feeling especially large, here is the baby at 22.5 weeks. Much bigger then last time.

We celebrated Daddy's birthday on the 23rd. He went skiing in Flagstaff with his siblings and Justin and we were able to have ice cream and presents for him that night. I don't even remember what we got him but he loved them I'm sure. Can't believe he is 31!

Santa & Trains

Christmas was in Arizona again! It was our last one with Uncle Aaron for 2 years so it was a special one. We spent a couple of days with Grandma & Grandpa Bair and Uncle Matthew. Westin doesn't eat very many varities of food but he sure does love his fruit. He pulled the bowl over and helped himself to more then half of it!

At Grandma and Grandpa Pobst's house we hung out with Enemy & Lyyyla (Emily & Lyla)

First on the agenda was go to see Santa and ride the train at McCormick Ranch. We had to take a couple of cars and Westin always chooses his Grandparents over his parents, we got lucky with Aunt Camille. While there Aunt Stacy, Uncle Matthew and Grace met us. Westin was very unsure of Santa this time but if I was with him he was saying hi and giving him a hi five. I wish I wouldn't have but I put him on Santas lap and he was very upset. Everything was better once we gave him his candy cane though.
