Mom & Dad for a few days

We are thrilled that Grace decided to hang out with us Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Unfortunatly she's been a little sick so thats made it hard. In fact, she didn't get a great nights sleep last night and this is what happened in the middle of the day.

She loves cuddling with her Uncle Matt and really loves are the neighborhood kids.

Hopefully tonight she will get a better nights sleep so we can have an AWESOME day tomorrow!

P.S. Matt and I go into the doctor on Friday to find out what our baby is!

BYU 69 SDSU 59

Tuesday night Matt and I went to the BYU vs. SDSU Basketball game. A bunch of people Matt works with went and his sister came with her husband and in laws! It was such a fun night. We WON which was such an excitement since we made the drive down for it!

When we first walked in we noticed this group of guys dressed in white shirts, ties and helmets .... I'm not too sure what was going on?


Allison and I ore the same shirt. She got the shirt for me for my birthday last June.


Tonight was also a first for me. I got sick from the drive. Now this isn't new and my family can atest to that but you see when we pulled over and I was doing my business on the side of the road the Highway Patrol stop. I have never had the police pull over bcause I was throwing up. They actually asked if we were drinking and if the driver was drinking. Matt told them that we don't drink and then I said I'm pregnant. I do want to say that I didn't throw up because I was pregnant except that since being pregnant my car sickness has gotten way worse. It's actually annoying.

Lets go back a little bit ...

Let me take you back to Christmas time. Well even further, to Thanksgiving. This is when Matt and I found out we were pregnant! We decided not to tell anyone yet since I was only 4 weeks pregnant. So we waited until we were back to Arizona for Christmas to tell our families. We told my family before my brother left on his mission and Matt's family when all his siblings were in town.

We handed everyone an envelope with this picture in it.
Telling my family was hilarious because Grace, my niece, was told I was holding a "pee stick" and she continued to ask me about it. "What is it?" ... "Where does it go?" ... "Can I have one" ... She continued to talk about it in to the next week.

While I was in Arizona I was sick. Very sick, but I learned how to control it. All I had to do was eat. The weirdest thing is having to eat when you are nauseous. This is why I lost so much weight while there.

When we got back, we had a doctors appointment where we got this ultra sound.
This is when I was 9 weeks. This was so exciting for Matt and I. We were able to hear the heart beat! I totally cried, which is normal these days.

Now I am 16 weeks, due August 6. I am feeling better but still have some bad spells and I get headaches constantly.

I don't really have a prego belly, just not the normal belly look.

I have an appointment this week and I will be scheduling the ultra sound to find out the gender! So hopefully in the next couple of weeks!

We are thrilled! We couldn't be more excited for baby Pobst to enter our life's!

Friday Night Date

There is nothing like a Friday night with my sweetheart, Root Beer Floats and a few of our favorite shows.

Weekend Fun

Matt and I had a great weekend. It was filled with eating, eating and more eating. My Brother Scott and his wife Alicia came into town from Thursday night till Tuesday morning. It was such a great visit and we CAN'T wait for them to come back!

We started the trip out with a visit to the Newport Beach Temple, it was so beautiful there as always!

After the temple we starving so we made a stop at one of our favorite burger joints. TK Burger. I just love their fries and the sauce they make to go with it! Of course it started pouring rain so we just headed home and took a nap. Of course this was after we had to change and put multiple layers of clothes on, it was FREEZING this weekend!

Later that night we headed out to our favorite Frozen Yogurt place. Yo Yum Yum. We love taking our guests there so of course we had to take Scott and Alicia there! They loved it. I think maybe more then Matt and I. They both got bigger cups then us and ate it all! I'm not sure they stopped thinking about this place the whole weekend!

The next day we headed down to Laguna Beach. Matt and I love it down there because its so pretty. The beach is lined with cliffs so it seems a little more intimate.

We definitely had a fun weekend and this was not the end.

It's Raining it's Pouring!

Today it is finally sunny out! Since last Wednesday it has rained everyday! Its not just any rain, it was coming down really hard! I think the worst is over, but its supposed to come back this weekend again!

Last night we finally broke down and turned the heater on. Matt decided to close all the doors so that the living room would get all the heat. However when we decided to go to bed I opened the door and it was FREEZING! Matt said it was like an ice chest. Even the carpet was cold to stand on!

Other than that, not much has really been going on! We can't wait until my brother and his wife come over for the weekend. I better bring the camera so we have something to blog about!

Sad Sad Day

Today was one of the sadest days for me. We were at church preparing for Sunday School and I reached down for my scriptures, pulled my hand back up and hit the hymm book holder with my ring. Now this happens all the time. I hit the ring on something at least once a week if not more. This time I hit it perfectly on a prong so that it BROKE and the Diamon popped out! I am SO lucky I noticed it when I did other wise it could have been vacummed up later never to be seen!! I am so sad, the ring looks so gross now. We have to send it up to Utah because thats where we got it from. SO it could be who knows how long before I get it back?

Sewing

I've been doing a lot of sewing lately. I really enjoy it even though I get frustrated with it sometimes. I wish I had more projects to do.

My latest project was sewing ribbon on to towels. You see even though we moved into a bigger place our bathroom is smaller. There is only one towel rack and it barely fits one towel on it. We need at least room for 2 and we always have visitors so we need room for more. My Mom showed me this great way to add more. Now I obviously didn't have to add the ribbon to it but it brings more color and its fun.

We tried ...

This past Saturday we went up to L.A. to try our luck at the lottery for Wicked tickets. What happens is they have the whole front row of 26 tickets up for lottery and they are only $25. So you go, wait in line to put your name on a card. They put it in a wheel and call out names. Only 13 names get called out, and they each get 2 tickets, unless you go by yourself you can buy only 2.

We put our name in along with 300 other people and never got called. :( Sunday was the last day Wicked was in L.A. So that was our last chance.


The rest of the day we walked down Hollywood Blvd. Drove up to the Griffith Observatory and drove down Santa Monica Blvd to the Temple. The Temple was Awesome! I had never seen it before and it was HUGE! We got some cool pictures of it.

Earthquake

Ok this isn't quite what happened last night but we did have an Earthquake! First one I've ever been in and it was pretty wild. No warning, all the sudden you are shaking! No worries though, we are all okay, nothing too dramatic happened.

Still Here. Just Busy

Well we returned homed from our 2 week vacation to Arizona all in one piece. We had such a wonderful time with both families. The first week was spent with my family. My little brother left for his mission, thats why we went early, to send him off. Unfortunatly I spent most of my time on the coach with a tiny cold and a stomach ach. The second week was spent with Matt's family. Both his sisters were home and we had so much fun together. I was feeling better until a few days after Christmas. We spent some time with my sister and Grace and Chad were sick with the Flu. I got what they had and spent Saturday in front of the toilet.

We had a great Christmas, I got s floor lamp, some pots and pans, money, french fry cutter and a bunch of fun frames. Matt got some money, which he already spent, a wet suit, some movies and I got him a Skim board! I loves to use our neighbors. I figured his very own would suit him well! Now he is an official California boy.

The trip ended up being great for me. I lost close to 10 pounds!! I'm glad we are back though. I just love being home. Especially now that we are moving! yep, thats right from #10 to #11. We are upgrading to a 2 bedroom place. The past few days have been spent painting and cleaning so we can move out stuff in. We are so excited to have more space this 1 bedroom is nice but we have NO room.

I wish I had pictures to post, but due the move our computer is unplugged.

Last year, Jackpot & Projects

We were looking through some of our old pictures and came across our Christmas last year. I forgot how much Matt liked what I got him. I hope I can make him just as happy this year.

So I realize It's been quite a while since my last post. We've been a little busy. We have done a few projects. Still working on some but mostly enjoying the cold weather here in Huntington Beach.

This beauty is in Matt's parents house. Matt helped them get this put together, doesn't it look awesome? Those pumpkins are the fall decorations from the fabric in the previous post. Don't they look perfect on the mantle?
